Why just why did my dad check the oil and water in my moms car when he came home from work today?

The only place she went in her car today was to walmart to buy groceries and then she came back to the house. 20 answers please.Why just why did my dad check the oil and water in my moms car when he came home from work today?
My husband did all that kind of stuff on our cars.


If I remember correctly he always checked the oil when it was warm from driving, not when it was cold.

Groceries are really heavy, Josh, and the strain on the car hauling them often causes the car to overheat. Water and oil just evaporate in over-heated engines, and often they explode. He is trying to prevent this, because it is really embarrassing. So, how are the step-mom, and the step-dad lately? Say hi to your brother.
He probably routinely checks it, because he knows your mother doesn't. It is much easier to check the oil and water than it is to replace an engine.

He is being a good husband and checking your mothers car for her, thats what husbands do!
most women do not even think to check such things..it probably did because he just happen to thinking about it and wanted to make sure it was ok.that all was up to wear it is suppose to be..
Maybe he's very attentive to the needs of her car.
